Woodstove

Snuggling round the hearth,
heaps of blankets, books and kids,
Dog and kitty join us
in a circle of warmth
only a woodstove gives.

Sandy, thank you so much for your comment. I love woodstoves also and having one was the only way I could endure the cold Maine winters. this picture and poem are happy memories for me.

  4. What cozy memories you conjure up, Kathie!

We love the illustrator Barbara Cooney. Where do you get those neat little amazon.com rectangles?

  5. Hi joyce, so sorry this has taken me so long to respond. I got them from amazon.com. I am signed up as an affiliate. I'm trying it out but I'm not sure I like it. I'm still waiting to see if it is worth it. I don't want to appear too commercial. I love Barbara Cooney also. Thanks for stopping by!
