Starry Sky painting by Kathiesbirds acrylic on canvas 9-25-08
Is God up there in that starry sky?
Is he gazing down on me?
When I look up in midnight blue
Can I see his eyes
in starry skies?

Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely treat in my sky watch travels tonight :)
Nice catch..... Great job! Reminds me the saying,,,, We never know how high we are, till we are called to ris; and then, if we are true to plan, our statures touch the sky... Happy Skywatch! Hope you can visit my SWF entry too...
ReplyDeleteVery nice painting ! I also paint with acrylics !
ReplyDeleteIt is a gorgeous moody blue painting.
ReplyDeleteI used to paint leather jackets with acrylics for people. I had forgotten all about those 'til now.
Both Picture and Poem are beautiful.... Gods eyes indeed.. :O)
ReplyDeleteI'm pleased you liked my picture this week, it is an old one but one of my favourites.

ReplyDeleteWell, I enjoyed your painting -- great work...
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely fabulous. It reminds me of Van Gogh's night scenes. What a talen you have. The stars look real.
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful Kathie, a treat to come and find your other blog with all these beautiful paintings and equisite poetry.
ReplyDeleteYou bet She's up there looking at you and keeping you safe. That is a lovely starry sky Kathie.
ReplyDeleteVery lovely!!
ReplyDeleteLovely poem and painting, too. I spy Orion, one of my favorite constellations!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done! Perfect.
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone for your kind comments and your visits.
ReplyDeleteDeborah, I was wondering if anyone would notice orion! Good for you! It was in the sky at that time of the morning. I painted in "Canus major" also.
This painting glows like the real midnight summer sky.
ReplyDeleteThose eyes are there and so are many other things of the world. All of them.
ReplyDeleteOr are they just spots in my eyes from lack of sleep? It was good to see you at the Cafe. I might have a Cinquain or two left in me yet. ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful... I love to sketch pictures but have never been daring enough to use color... I just cannot see the world in color when I draw... but this is very nice!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking the time to visit me... I really appreciate it.
